Nigerian Style Shekeres

These are the traditional style Igbo tribe shekeres from the Southeastern part of Nigeria. They come with assorted color beads-black, rainbow, and natural "ugbemba" seed.

You can play these many ways, by shaking, twisting, tapping, pulling on the netting, etc. If the gourd has an open top, you can get a "bass bop" tone by hitting the bottom of the gourd with the palm of your hand as you play.

These are all custom made to our specifications to ensure that each one truly is a musical instrument.
