Afro-Cuban Style Shekeres

We designed these based on the Afro-Cuban style shekere that has gained so much popularity recently. We consulted with several professional shekere players to see what they felt is most important in this instrument.

We carefully select the gourds for this style so they all have an open top to allow the bass tone to come through. We also came up with a design that allows the player to adjust the net for more or less play. They can even adjust how the net is positioned on the gourd for maximum flexibility.

These are all custom made to our specifications to ensure that each one truly is a musical instrument.
