These are the best Ghana djembes anywhere. We work very closely with a European-run workshop in Ghana where these drums are assembled.

Every shell is carved to their exact specifications in the village for a consistent high quality tone. Then the shells are brought to their workshop where they shape the bearing edges, sand, oil, and polish the whole shell inside and out, and begin to custom assemble the drums. They import a special, extra-thick metal from Ivory Coast and custom fit each ring to its drum before welding them at high temperature to insure a perfect ring. They use a European two-part low stretch rope taking extra care to wrap all three rings and weave accurate cradles. Finally, they bring in the best goat skins available from Northern Ghana or Ivory Coast and carefully mount each head.

We ship these drums to USA completely un-tuned to preserve the goatskins. After we inspect each drum we professionally tune them in two stages before shipping them to our customers.
