These
rattles are made from the pit of the udala fruit, which is very sweet
and looks like a small pear. The tree grows throughout southern Nigeria,
in Ibo land, which is where these rattles are produced. These rattles
come in many varieties, made with palm fiber, nylon, and wood, and each
one has a unique sound. You can shake or twist them, run your hand through
them, or tap them against your free hand to create different sounds.
We
designed these as part of our Rhythmkids line of children's instruments,
but now we have decided to keep fewer children's items, so we are clearing
these out at a big discount.
These
used to cost $11.99 but now we are clearing them out at $5.99 each. Minimum
order = 12 pieces.
