Ghana Single Y rattles

We designed these based on the popular Kenyan Y manyanga rattles but we replaced the bottle caps with pieces of gourd (calabash) for safety and a softer sound. While rustic in appearance, they are very easy to play by anyone, even non-musicians. Just shake them or hit them against your other hand.
