Gonkogwe Single Bells

These traditional bells are made in Togo and Ghana by the local blacksmiths using hand bellows and rudimentary forges. Used to mark the beat in many ceremonies, this bell is one of the most important parts of many percussion ensembles. The two tones offer many possible musical variations. You can dampen the bell against your leg while you play. Experiment and enjoy! Stick included.

These bells have a brighter tone than our Nigerian bells so it's good to carry both styles in your store. Percussionists like to have a full range of tones and pitches to choose from.
